AN EPIC HONOR
The New Mental Health Counseling Room at Community Care Clinic of Dare

At Our EPIC Project, our goal has always been to build a stronger, healthier, and more resilient Outer Banks community. This summer, through the incredible success of our fundraising initiatives—including our annual EPIC Round on the Sound Charity Golf Tournament—we had the profound honor of presenting a $10,000 grant to the Community Care Clinic of Dare.
We are overjoyed to share that during the clinic's recent 5th Annual Billfish Tournament Captains Dinner, Our EPIC Project was recognized as a guest of honor. In a deeply moving gesture that we will cherish forever, the clinic officially dedicated and named its brand-new Mental Health Counseling Room in our honor.
"Our Epic Project's generous donation to support mental health at CCCD is making a huge impact. We are witnessing two women who experienced major trauma in their lives, finally have access to counseling. Every individual that can now gain access to mental health services is one more person with a lighter brighter tomorrow!" - Lynn Jenkins, Executive Director CCCD
Breaking Barriers to Vital Local Care
For many residents, seasonal workers, and students in the Outer Banks, finding accessible, private mental health support can be an uphill battle. This dedicated space provides a quiet, private sanctuary for individuals to receive the support they deserve.
Thanks to this partnership, the $10,000 grant directly funded:
A dedicated Counseling Room: A safe, peaceful, and permanent space for healing inside the clinic.
Bi-lingual Counseling Services: Expanding access so that Spanish-speaking members of our community can receive critical mental health care without a language barrier.
A Team Effort of Love and Leadership
This milestone reminds us that when local businesses, non-profits, and healthcare providers connect, we can fill critical gaps in public health. We extend our deepest gratitude to the team at the Community Care Clinic of Dare for this immense honor, and for the life-changing work they do every single day.
